Research Interest

My research focuses on exploring the genetic basis of epilepsy. Specifically, I am studyingDNA mutations that occur in the brain cells of some patients with focal epilepsies such as temporal lobe epilepsy. Understanding these genetic changes in the brain provides important insights into the underlying cause of some of the most common types of epilepsy, which in turn could lead to more effective treatments.
